Distributed Video Coding for Wireless Communications

چکیده
In this paper we describe a new framework of video coding for wireless communications: distributed video coding. The framework is being developed for handling two important issues arisen from wireless communications: error resilience and power consumption. Two core topics under the framework are studied: 1) Visual Information Diversity, and 2) Distributed Coding. Visual information diversity techniques are to be used to handle noisy wireless channels while distributed coding techniques focus on reduction of power consumption in wireless terminals.
